Almost a month after making onset in Odisha with good downpours, the southwest monsoon has so far remained mostly weak in the State.

Odisha has received a cumulative deficit of 21 percent rainfall between June 1 and July 13 as compared to the long term average during the period, the Regional Meteorological Centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar said on Tuesday. The total average rainfall received in the State during the period stood at 273.6 mm.
