But Pranjali Awasthi, a 16-year-old Indian girl, has proven this mediocre thought wrong. Indian-born US teenager Pranjali has successfully built a thriving business worth Rs 100 crore at the age of 16 in just two years.

Pranjali Awasthi's Success Story

Pranjali, the young entrepreneur, started learning coding languages when she was only 7 years old. By the age of 11, she had become a proficient coder. 

At the time, her family moved to the United States. Moving to the US was the best thing that could have happened to young Pranjali. This exposed her to a whole new world of possibilities, like computer science courses and competitive math programs. 

After moving to Florida, she interned at Florida Internal University's machine learning lab, two years after she studied mathematics and computer science. During her internship, Pranjali was responsible for searching, gathering information and writing literature reviews.

With the release of ChatGPT-3 Beta by OpenAI in 2020, she realised that the lab could use AI to make extracting and summarizing research data easier.

Her life took a turn for the best when she joined an AI startup accelerator in Miami. This move proved to be pivotal in carving her future path.

About Pranjali Awasthi

Pranjali Awasthi owns Delv.AI, an AI tech company currently valued at $12 million (around Rs 100 crore). Speaking at the Miami Tech Week event, Pranjali revealed that she started her firm in January 2022 after raising $450,000 (Rs 3.7 crore) in initial investment. She secured the initial investment for her tech firm from On Deck and Village Global during an accelerator program. Within a short span of two years, Pranjali's company value has surged to $12 million. At present, Delv.AI has 10 employees, including Pranjali. She and her small team are handling multiple roles in the company simultaneously, including coding, customer service and day-to-day operations. 

While Pranjali's entrepreneurial success has put her education on hold, she plans to return to school and complete her studies.
