Veteran cricketer Rohit Sharma is going through the worst phase of his IPL career in the ongoing IPL 2025. The Mumbai Indian batter has so far scored only 82 runs in six matches. Rohit seemed to find some rhythm after hitting three sixes against SRH on Thursday. However, he eventually got out after scoring just 26 runs.

Sehwag's Response

In response, former Team India opener Virender Sehwag has said that it’s time for Rohit  to step away from the cash-rich league.

"If you look at Rohit’s IPL numbers over the past 10 years, he has scored more than 400 runs in a season only once," said Sehwag during a recent interaction.

"Now it’s time for him to retire, and before retiring, he would want to give something for the fans to remember him by — not moments that make them wonder why he hasn’t been dropped yet. Take 10 extra balls if needed, but at least play and give yourself a chance," he added.

Meanwhile, former India star Harbhajan Singh said that the Mumbai Indians are looking united, and he expects the franchise to script memorable results in the upcoming matches.

“Mumbai Indians have won two back-to-back matches and the team is looking united. Suryakumar Yadav and other players are coming together. A united team can win the Indian Premier League. We didn’t see it last year,” said Harbhajan during a recent interaction.
