Star javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem is currently the most popular athlete in Pakistan. Nadeem has even become more popular than the cricketers in Pakistan after his stunning performance in Paris Olympics 2024.

Nadeem bagged the coveted gold medal in the javelin throw event of the sports extravaganza. Thus he became the first Pakistani athlete to ever win an Olympic medal. He also set a new Olympic record of 92.97m in the final. His throw also is the sixth-longest throw ever considering only the best throw from each athlete.

In a recent video, Nadeem can be seen teaching legendary Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi on how to throw a javelin at a school in Jeddah.

Nadeem posted the video on his Instagram account with the caption, “Sharing my passion for Javelin with the Boom Boom legend himself! Had an amazing time giving some tips to @safridiofficial at KAUST Jeddah.”

The video has reportedly gone viral within no time.

Notably, Arshad’s heroics in Paris saw Indian superstar Neeraj Chopra fail to successfully defend his title. The Indian javelin star had to eventually settle for silver. Neeraj blamed his injury issues for failing to win the gold medal in the mega event.
