Karun Nair was the most unfortunate cricketer to be excluded from the Indian team after scoring a scintillating triple hundred in Test cricket.
Nair had shot to fame after he struck a masterful 300 against England in Chennai, in December 2016. However, he was excluded from the Indian team without any proper logic and since then he failed to make a comeback.
However, the veteran cricketer has impressed in domestic cricket. Playing for Vidarbha now, the Karnataka-born batter has been in some superlative form off late. He has scored a total of 637 runs in seven matches, at a staggering average of 637 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Nair has smashed four tons in the prestigious domestic tournament including one during the semi-final match against Rajasthan on Sunday.
With his brilliant performances, fans are wondering if he should be selected in the Indian team, in the red-ball formats or not. However, the million dollar question is he will be selected for which slot. As per experts, there are already a few contenders in the middle-order and Nair might not be on the selectors’ radar at the age of 33.
As the Indian team is in a transitional phase, the team management will not prefer a veteran player over the youngsters.
