Mumbai's Tactical Brilliance

Following the match, Chahar discussed his approach to neutralising Vaibhav, a player known for his explosive performance against Gujarat Titans (GT) previously. He remarked, "I watched Suryavanshi's impressive innings against GT intently to understand his play style. Every batsman has their vulnerabilities, which we strategised to exploit."

RR's innings were cut short at 117 runs in 16.1 overs, far from the 218 target set by Mumbai.

Mumbai's Consistent Scoring

The match had commenced with Ryan Rickelton and captain Rohit Sharma leading the batting charge with scores of 61 and 53 runs, respectively. Their efforts pushed MI to a formidable total of 217/2 by the end of their innings.

In response, RR's interim captain Riyan Parag acknowledged MI's tactical strength. He said, "Credit goes to MI for their consistent scoring and strategic late acceleration. We fell short of the ideal runs needed. It was not our day, but such is the nature of cricket."
