Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star batter Ruturaj Gaikwad finally tied the knot with ladylove Utkarsha Pawar in a grand ceremony. The lovely couple seemed completely smitten by each other as they took the wedding vows.
Social media has been flooded with adorable pictures from their grand wedding as fans and friends from the sports fraternity congratulated the beautiful couple. Ruturaj also took to his Instagram handle and shared a series of wonderful pictures from the wedding.
Sharing the pictures, Ruturaj wrote, “From the pitch to the altar, our journey begins!”
Earlier, there were reports that Ruturaj was dating Marathi actress Sayali Sanjeev after he left a heart emoji in one of her Instagram pictures. However, the rumours have been finally laid to rest. Even Sayali took to the comment section and congratulated the couple on their new beginning.
Well, for the uninitiated, Ruturaj has been dating Utkarsha for a long time now. She is also a cricket player and has played for Maharashtra. The 24-year-old Pune-based cricketer is an all-rounder. She is a right-handed batter and also a pace bowler.
She is currently studying at the Institute of Nutrition and Fitness Sciences (INFS) in Pune. Earlier, a picture of the lovely couple posing with MS Dhoni had gone viral. The couple has been in a relationship for the past two years. The couple has often been spotted working out in the gym and dining together.
On the other hand, Gaikwad has been a crucial part of the CSK franchise for the last couple of seasons and has also won orange caps for his tremendous scores. The CSK’s title win in the IPL is seen as the perfect pre-wedding gift for the opening batsman.
Ruturaj has pulled out of the World Test Championship citing his marriage. He has been replaced by Rajasthan Royals star Yashasvi Jaiswal, the newfound talent of Indian cricket.
