Fans across Odisha are preparing for an exciting resurgence of cricket at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack as international cricket is set to return to the ground following a two-year interlude.
Cricket enthusiasts are buzzing with anticipation to witness their favourite players grace the field once more.
Ahead of Team India’s much-anticipated arrival, a local artist from Cuttack, Surya Narayan Nayak, has crafted a special tribute to the cricketing legend Virat Kohli. Nayak from the Bidyadharpur area has artistically depicted Kohli’s face on a leaf.
The artwork also features the slogan- ‘Welcome to Cuttack soil, Barabati calling’. The gesture is aimed at celebrating the return of cricket to this historic venue.
“I am a huge fan of Virat Kohli. I started watching cricket because of Kohli. Out of my love and gratitude to my favourite cricketer, I have made an art of Kohli’s face on a leaf. As the high-profile match between India vs England will be played at the historical Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, I got an inspiration to draw Kohli’s face on a leaf and write the special slogan,” said Nayak.

“I used to draw Kohli’s face on all kinds of stuff. I have earlier drawn Kohli’s face on bread and Jam,” he added.
