Odisha third phase polling: Violence, EVM glitches and death of polling agent reported

The third phase of polling in Odisha was disrupted by violence at Athagarh and EVM problems at Brahmagiri. Incidents included injuries due to clashes, a polling agent's death suspected from sunstroke, and an elderly voter's death while standing in queue.

Clash in a booth in Athagarh

The third phase polling in Odisha was marred with violence being reported from a booth at Athagarh in Cuttack district on Saturday. As per reports, four persons have sustained injuries in the clash between two groups. The clash has been reported from booth number 115 at Radhagobindapur in Athagarh.

Surprisingly, it was reported from one of the model booths that was established by the administration to facilitate voters to exercise their franchise without any trouble.
