Odisha Elections: 99.61 lakh voters to exercise franchise on June 1  

In Odisha, the final phase of elections on June 1 will see 99.61 lakh voters deciding the outcome for Lok Sabha and Assembly seats.

In the last phase of the polling in the state on June 1, 99,61,000 voters will exercise their franchise to decide the fate of 66 and 394 candidates contesting for Lok Sabha and Assembly seats, respectively, informed the Chief Electoral Officer of Odisha (CEO), Nikunja Bihari Dhal on Thursday. 

A total of 10,882 booths have been set up out of which 1400 booths will be managed by women only. While over 70,000 polling staff will be engaged for poll management, 125 companies of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) will be deployed to ensure peaceful polling, informed the CEO.
