Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will come to Odisha again. He will address a rally in Bolangir on May 15 for the campaign for the party’s Assembly candidate Samarendra Mishra.
Gandhi will lead a bike rally before addressing a public meeting that day.
This was informed by Congress leader Samarendra Mishra on Sunday.
This is the second visit of Rahul Gandhi to Odisha during the current elections.
The former Congress president had earlier kick-started the party's campaign from Salepur on April 28. After offering his tributes to Utkal Gourav Madhusudan Das at Satybhamapur in Salepur, he attended a meeting.
While addressing the gathering, Rahul Gandhi slammed the ruling BJD in Odisha and BJP in the Centre for entering into a partnership in the State. He alleged that the two parties had looted the whole public property in unison through the mining scam, the land grab scam and the plantation scam.
On May 3, Rahul Gandhi was supposed to attend a public rally in Rayagada, but he could not turn up due to his nomination filing for Raebareli Lok Sabha seat.
He had addressed the meeting through virtual mode in the afternoon.
Highlighting five guarantees of the AICC, Gandhi said that his party would waive off farmers' loans and hike the minimum support price (MSP) of paddy if his party came to power. He also guaranteed that graduates and diploma engineers would be given top priority for jobs, apart from assuring caste census of Dalits, people of scheduled tribes and backward classes.
