The morale of leaders and workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) in Odisha reportedly received a big boost after Union Home Minister Amit Shah, during his Sonepur rally, made a blistering attack on the BJD government and asserted that his party is going to form government in the State.
Encouraging the party workers and leaders, Shah reportedly cited that if the BJP could form the government in Tripura with only 1.4 per cent vote share, why it is not possible for the party to form the government in Odisha where the vote percentage is as high as 32.
Now the question arises if the BJP is going to apply the Tripura formula in Odisha. It is believed that to make this formula work, former Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb arrived in Odisha on Saturday and will stay till the elections are over.
Deb is expected to impart success mantras and step-by-step strategies to leaders. He will camp in Berhampur first.
Then, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will come calling to the state to share the strategies for electoral success with the Odisha BJP leaders.
Besides, 30 Central leaders of the BJP will come to Odisha and stay till the elections. They will look after the strategies in 30 districts. Some of them will be on the ground zero while others will look after the election war room, informed sources.

Odisha BJP leader Golak Mohapatra said, "There will be a no-holds-barred fight. All leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rajnath Singh and Yogi Adityanath will come to Odisha as the BJP is going to form government this time.”
The party has already taken up various organisational activities like cluster strategy and Pravashi programmes with the help of central leaders. Still, the party is not complacent and wants to further bolster its strategies.
In the 2019 elections, the BJP got 32 per cent vote share in the Assembly poll and 38 per cent in the Lok Sabha election. In fact, the saffron party smelt fresh blood for future electoral success after the last elections when it saw a 14.5 per cent jump in its vote share as compared to 2014.
The party has set a target to get a 50 per cent vote share in each booth. If the party gets more than 40 per cent votes, it will be in a position to form the government. The party is now trying to add an 8 per cent vote share to its kitty and has reportedly made a special strategy.
Political analyst Prasanna Mohanty observed, "From the indications given by Amit Shah, it appears that the BJP has taken Odisha elections as a war expedition. The Central leaders will manage the electoral strategies in Odisha. The BJP has drawn up strategies on the lines of the winning formula adopted for Tripura and Assam.”
