BJP sees red over Berhampur gangrape case, alleges police shielding BJD youth leaders  

The BJP accused the Berhampur police of shielding BJD youth leaders in a gangrape case involving a Plus-II student. Despite detentions and medical examinations, key accused including BJD's Bikram Jena were released, sparking allegations of political interference and calls for an impartial probe.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) accused police of trying to shield some student leaders of the BJD in connection with the alleged gangrape of a Plus-II girl student in Berhampur. 

As per reports, the incident had taken place on May 3 while a case was registered on May 5 on the complaint from the victim.
