With only some days left, political parties have intensified campaigning ahead of the last phase of polls scheduled for June 1. All eyes are now on the Kendrapara Lok Sabha seat from where BJP National Vice-President Baijayant Panda is contesting.
On Tuesday, the senior BJP leader held a massive roadshow in Mahakalpada as part of the ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra'. Thousands of people and party workers attended the roadshow today.
Later, senior leaders of the BJP including former Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb, and Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw campaigned for party candidates as well.
BJD Telling Lies On Haridaspur-Paradip Railway Line: Union Railway Minister
In his address, Vaishnaw said that when the people of Kendrapara had sent Baijayant Panda to Delhi, his words were significant and listened to by several countries across the world. Vaishnaw today clarified that the claims of BJD leaders hat the Haridaspur-Paradip railway project happened due to their efforts is totally baseless.
“It is completely baseless and total lies. The railway project happened only due to Baijayant Panda. It is PM Narendra Modi’s guarantee that doubling work Haridaspur-Paradip line will be done and Vande Metro will be introduced here. There will be a railway line for the Paradip-Dhamra Industrial Corridor as well,” Vaishnaw added.

While addressing the public meeting at Batighar, Baijayant Panda said that recently PM Narendra Modi visited Odisha and the BJP government would take oath on June 10 and Odia will be the Chief Minister of Odisha.
“PM Narendra Modi has changed the entire country with massive developmental works and Kendrapara seat will be included in the 400-plus mission. I appeal to people to vote for BJP candidates so that the party forms the government in Odisha with a majority,” said Panda.
The BJD government has cheated people of the state for the last 25 years. The people of this area are not getting pattas. After the BJP comes to power, the people will have no problem getting land pattas, Panda said.
“I had personally met several leaders in Delhi and brought a railway line to Kendrapara. The railway line is important to bring new industries and provide employment to youths. This will resolve migration. Similarly, the Paradip-Dhamra Industrial Corridor will immensely benefit as Kendrapara will be the focal point. This will also create employment opportunities," said Panda.
Jay Panda Hits Back At Tamil Babu
BJP National Vice-President Baijayant Panda today again responded to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik from the dais of the election meeting at Patkura in Kendrapara.
"The Tamil babu who has captured Naveen Babu and defamed Odia Asmita had brought false allegations against me. My family has been doing business since the late Biju uncle’s time and provided employment to thousands of people. No such allegations had come. I want to say to the Tamil babu that I have joined politics not to accumulate assets. Lord Jagannath has given us enough. I am here to work for the people. I had set up 54 mega drinking water projects and it was the best in the country which was highlighted by media. The BJD has hijacked this as well," said Baijayant Panda while appealing people to vote for BJP to end goodaraj here.
