With the daily proceedings of the Monsoon Session of the Odisha Assembly all set to begin from tomorrow (September 1), the Opposition parties have geared up to corner the State government with issues ranging from declining law and order situation, corruption to unemployment, among others.
Opposition chief whip Mohan Majhi said that the BJP will raise the issues like the alleged link of the MLAs and Ministers of the ruling-BJD with the chief of the controversial ‘Manabavad Sangathan’ (Humanitarian Organisation).
The BJP is also planning to corner the Odisha government over the Mahanga double murder case alleging link of the State Law Minister Pratap Jena.

Congress has chalked out its strategy to focus on the drought-like situation, inflation, declining law and order situation, corruption, unemployment, shortage of drinking water, non-availability of beds in hospitals and shortage of doctors and teachers in the State.
"Our party will raise the issues like corruption in Staff Selection Commission and all other problems that are being faced by the people of the State to corner the Government," said Congress MLA Mohammed Moquim.
Meanwhile, the State Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Bikram Keshari Arukh said, "We have as many as 12 Bills to be discussed in the House. Besides, we will have discussions on the different issues related to the interest of the State."
Earlier, Speaker Surya Narayan Patro informed that the Monsoon Session will have eight working days and conclude on September 9. It will be held for five hours in two shifts - the first shift will commence at 10.30 am and end at 1:30 pm while the second sitting will be held from 4 pm to 6 pm daily.
