At a time when discussions about early general election are gaining momentum, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has come up with a two-point programme to form the next government in Odisha.
On the sidelines of a programme at Bhubaneswar, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday gave hints about the party’s agenda for the big game ahead.
He said the current year is very important for the party.
“For our party, 2023 is an important year. It is the penultimate year of the general election year. Discussion about early election is also doing the rounds. The party has two-point programme in focus,” said Pradhan.
“The first one of this programme is to act like the spokesperson of the people’s discontent against the government and the second one is to strengthen the 37,000 booth-level organizations across the State. This 2-point formula is in the party’s agenda,” informed the Union Minister.
He also said the party has already prepared a plan to take the question ‘Who is running the government in Odisha?’ put up by National President JP Nadda during his recent visit to the people of Odisha.
In the coming days, Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also come to Odisha, he added while reiterating the party has set eyes not only on Lok Sabha seats but also on the entire Odisha.
