YouTuber couple in Odisha fined heavily for reckless driving caught on viral video

In a bid to gain views and likes, the young generation seems to be going to extreme lengths. A viral video has now landed a YouTuber couple at Rairakhol area in Sambalpur district in serious trouble after they were caught driving recklessly, attracting a hefty fine.

The YouTuber couple has been identified as Ashwini Sahu and his wife Leelabati Pradhan. They have fined Rs 11,000 for violating traffic laws. 

As per reports, the viral video shows the husband driving the car in a highly reckless manner while his wife was sitting on his lap. Shockingly, the couple was also carrying their young child during this dangerous act.

After the video went viral on social media, the Sambalpur Regional Transport Office (RTO) took strict action against them. Besides the hefty fine, the couple has pledged not to repeat such dangerous behaviour in the future.

"It was our vehicle and my wife was learning to drive. We were called to the police station today. We also got a message from the RTO. We have been fined Rs 11,000. We have committed a mistake. We request one and all not to commit such mistakes of violating traffic rules," said YouTuber Ashwini Sahu.

"We have committed a mistake and we will not repeat it in the future. We request all of you not to shoot videos like this," said Ashwini's wife, Leelabati.

However, there has been no official statement yet from the Sambalpur RTO regarding the incident.
