In a fresh case of nude video call-blackmailing, a youth from Nayapalli in Bhubaneswar is now battling for life at a hospital after he allegedly stabbed self 25 times fearing public shaming and alleged inaction by police. The victim youth runs a parlour and stabbed himself with a scissor.
The condition of the youth is said to be critical and he has been put on a ventilator. As per initial reports, the youth had come across a girl on social media and had developed a friendship.
During chatting, the girl had allegedly recorded some nude calls with the youth. Based on the recorded nude call, the girl started to blackmail the youth and demanded money. The girl had also reportedly threatened to make the nude video call viral on social media if he failed to pay the money.
It is alleged that the concerned youth had approached police, but no action was taken. With no other option, the youth tried to end his life by stabbing himself with a scissor.
