According to sources, several youths from the party, led by Uday Bhanu Chib, congregated in the forenoon. The agitators were intercepted by police while they were heading towards Odisha Chief Minster’s government quarters. Later, the youths also showed placards as a token of their protest, which continued for quite a long time.

“We had congregated here to put up the demands of people and make the Chief Minister aware. However, our voices are being suppressed by using police. The agitation will be intensified in the future,” local youth leader Yasir Nawaz said to mediapersons.

Reacting to this, Odisha BJP youth wing president Avilash Panda expressed, “They (Congress leaders and workers) are facing an identity crisis these days. The so-called Samabesh is more a party programme than the people’s movement.”
