Odisha Assembly will convene for its Winter Session starting November 26. Before that, an all-party meeting is set to be held on November 25 to discuss the smooth conduct of daily proceedings of the Assembly, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mukesh Mahaling informed on Tuesday.
During the session, various bills concerning the State's interests will be tabled in the House. In addition, an interim budget will be presented. The Government is fully prepared to discuss any issues raised by the Opposition, the Minister said mediapersons.

“Winter Session has been scheduled to start on November 26 and continue till December 31. Several Bills are to be moved keeping in mind the welfare programmes to be taken up for the people of Odisha. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi discussed with us in this regard,” the Parliamentary Affairs Minister expressed.
“Bharatiya Janata Party and Mohan Majhi-led government is always prepared to discuss whatever issues the Opposition parties raise,” Minister Mahaling stated.
“An all-party meeting is to be convened tentatively on November 25. We had a discussion with Hon’ble Speaker Madam in this connection,” the Minister added.

Worth mentioning, according to an official notification previously issued, the Chief Minister will present the Supplementary Budget for FY 2024-25 on the first day of the Assembly session, while the Appropriation Bill is to be tabled on December 5.
Demands for grants will be discussed on three days – between December 2 and December 4, the notification mentioned.
As per the provisional calendar, 20 days will be allocated for official business and five days for private members’ business.
Besides Sundays, the Assembly will remain closed on December 25, Christmas Day.
