In view of President Droupadi Murmu’s visit and considering the expected inflow of more than lakhs of tourists to Puri to witness the Navy Day celebrations at the beach on December 4, Puri Police has issued a traffic advisory.

Restrictions on the movement of vehicles in Puri town have been put in place as part of the traffic advisory.

The four-wheeler vehicles coming from Bhubaneswar to Puri will ply via Malatipatpur and park at Talabania. The two-wheelers will come from Batagaon via bypass and park near hotel Sterling.

Similarly, parking arrangements have been made for the four-wheeler and two-wheeler vehicles coming from the Konark side at Talabania. Vehicles coming from the Brahmagiri side will also park near hotel Sterling.

Parking arrangements for the pass holders have been made at Jail Road and Saradha Bali. For the orange pass holders, parking arrangements have been made near Jail Road and at Saradha Bali. Similarly, the blue pass holders will park their vehicles near Nilachal Ashok and SCS College.

Puri Police has put signages at every traffic posts. Puri SP Vinit Agrawal has requested people to obey the police advisory to make the event a grand success. 

“We request all the spectators and the devotees of Lord Jagannath to cooperate with Puri Police in making this event a grand success,” said Puri SP Vinit Agrawal.

Notably, President Droupadi Murmu will be on a five-day visit to Odisha from today. She will arrive in Bhubaneswar today and join us as the Chief Guest in a special programme on the occasion of Navy Day celebrations in Puri tomorrow.
