The Odisha government has announced the release of the fourth phase of funds under the Subhadra Yojana in January 2025, informed Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida. Clarifying the delay, the Deputy CM confirmed that over 2 million (20 lakh) women are expected to benefit from this crucial phase.

"Everyone will be given a chance to avail the benefits under Subhadra Yojana. Delay is occuring in verification due to various reasons including land disputes. However, we have set December 30 as the deadline for verification of documents. If all the verifications are completed, we hope to disburse the money in January," the Deputy CM informed.

Pravati Parida further stated, "We are committed to maintaining the integrity of the Subhadra Yojana and ensuring that every eligible beneficiary receives their due."

For those in the rejected list, the Deputy CM advised them to visit their nearest seva kendras and do the necessary rectifications in their Aadhaar Cards or Bank Account numbers to avail the benefits in the fourth, which is also the last phase of 1st installment of the prestigious Subhadra Yojana.

Initially, the funds for this phase were scheduled for disbursement on December 25, 2024. However, the state government has postponed the release to ensure accurate delivery to over 2 million beneficiaries.

In the previous third phase, funding successfully reached around 2 million women. On November 24, funds were distributed to 2 million women beneficiaries in the third phase of the scheme.

Overall, the Subhadra Yojana, a flagship initiative of the Odisha state government, has benefited as many as 8 million women so far. The Subhadra Yojana is a major initiative aimed at empowering women across Odisha, providing financial support to promote socio-economic development in the region.

The programme continues to be a pivotal element in the state’s agenda to uplift women from various socio-economic backgrounds, providing them with essential financial support and resources to improve their livelihoods.
