Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Tuesday made a veiled attack on opposition BJD by saying that those who were showing ‘lollipops’ will see lollipop. Parida’s remarks came in response to the BJD’s criticism over Odisha government’s Subhadra yojana soon after the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) was released.

While talking to reporters, the Odisha Deputy CM cleared the confusion surrounding the beneficiary selection. She said there are 2.25 crore women under the age bracket of 21 to 60 years in the state. Around 1.8 crore women would get assistance under Subhadra yojana.

“If BJD realises that some would be left out, then they should provide the list and they would be included in Subhadra yojana. BJP is committed and the party will fulfil whatever it promised,” said Parida.

Parida further stated that Subhadra is for all and all women will get it. “We had announced that BJP would provide an assistance of Rs 50,000 and we are giving it,” she added.
