Odisha Deputy CM Pravati Parida, who recently visited Bonda Ghati in tribal-dominated Malkangiri district, on Friday announced that all the Bonda women will receive financial assistance under the prestigious Subhadra Yojana.

The Deputy CM visited the Bonda Ghati to evaluate the progress of ‘Subhadra Yojana’ and ‘Grameen Awas Yojana’ and announced after a discussion with the Bonda group.

She visited the Bonda people and discussed the issues that hampered the disbursal of Subhadra money among the them. The Deputy CM also promised to reassess 2932 Subhadra applications that were previously rejected in the area. 

After speaking to all the people and learning about their problems, the Deputy CM directed officials to resolve the issues at the earliest.

She has directed all the officials to ensure that all the tribal women are benefitted under the Subhadra Yojana. Moreover, the Deputy CM also announced an additional Rs 50,000 to each Bonda family eligible under the housing scheme under “Grameen Awas Yojana’, in response to the rising construction costs in the area.

“CM Mohan Majhi had visited the district during Malyabanta Mahotsav. He came to know that the Bonda Ghati residents are facing difficulties in taking house construction materials to their villages. Due to the rising expenses, they are not able to construct their houses. So, Odisha government has decided to provide an additional assistance of Rs 50,000,” the Deputy CM announced.

Pravati Parida also informed that the fourth or last phase of Subhadra’s 1st installment would be disbursed by the end of January.
