Enhanced Surveillance and Emergency Response

Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena further informed that focus will be given on CCTV surveillance, providing law enforcement agencies with real-time monitoring capabilities to deter and detect crimes. The 112 emergency response support system will be reviewed to minimize response time, ensuring swift assistance to those in need.

Capacity Building and Training

To equip officers and staff with the necessary skills, efforts will be taken to collaborate with local universities to provide training sessions on emotional intelligence, stress management, and investigative techniques. This initiative aims to foster a more empathetic and effective policing approach.

Mentorship and Performance Monitoring

The performance of Sub-inspectors and Assistant Sub-inspectors will be monitored regularly to ensure investigations are conducted swiftly and impartially. Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) and Additional Deputy Commissioners of Police (ADCPs) will serve as mentors and guides, providing valuable insights and expertise.

Community Engagement and Cybersecurity

According to Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena, efforts will be taken to ensure full cooperation and support to vulnerable groups, including women, children, and senior citizens to ensure their safety and security.

Already, there is a dedicated cyber police station and recently one ACP-level officer has been appointed. The station will focus on detecting cybercrime cases and creating awareness about online safety.

Effective Resource Management and Implementation

“Our priority will be on maximum utilisation of the resources to ensure that the existing infrastructure is utilized efficiently. The Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) will be implemented more comprehensively, facilitating seamless data sharing and coordination among law enforcement agencies,” said Meena.

“By adopting a multi-faceted approach, our focus will be on creating a safer, more secure environment for the citizens,” he added.
