The scale of disproportionate assets owned by Rama Chandra Nepak, Deputy Ranger-cum-Incharge Ranger of Jeypore Forest Range, Koraput district, continues to grow following a vigilance raid.
Acting on search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore, the raids are being carried out by a team comprising six DSPs, five Inspectors, nine ASIs, and other supporting staff.
Seizure by Vigilance sleuths so far
Residential property:
• A triple-storeyed building measuring approx 3,600 sq. ft. located at NKT Road, PR Petta, Jeypore Town, Dist-Koraput.
• 3-BHK Flat measuring an area of 1800 Sqft at UMS Bhagabati Mansion, Raghunathpur Jali, Bhubaneswar.
• Two numbers of 2-BHK Flats vide flat No.510 & 511each measuring 1500 Sqft. at Golden Height Residential Apartment, PR Petta, Jeypore Town.
Land parcels:
• Two high-value plots in Jeypore town.
Valuables and investments:
• Odisha Vigilance has so far seized Rs.1,38,90,000/- concealed in a secret Treasury in his Flat No.510, Golden Height Residential Apartment, Jeypore Town has been unearthed. Total cash recovery comes to 1,43,34,000/- including Rs.4,44,000/- recovered from residential house of Nepak at Jeypore town in Koraput.

• Gold weighing 1.5 Kg & silver 4.637 Kg unearthed.
• Bank deposits, other financial investments, and deposits are being ascertained.

The Vigilance technical wing is currently conducting detailed measurements and valuation of the identified properties and assets.
