In the aftermath of the stampede that occurred in the wee hours of June 29 at Saradhabali near Gundicha Temple during Puri Rath Yatra, the Inquiry Commission requested the public on Tuesday to submit any videos of the fatal incident on July 9 in Bhubaneswar and on July 10 in Puri to assist in the ongoing probe.

Special arrangements have been made for this, the I&PR Department press release said.
An enquiry by the Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary on the tragic incident of stampede that led to the death of three devotees near Gundicha Temple in Puri has already been ordered vide Home (Special Branch) Department notification No-1389/C, dated 29.06.2025, the I&PR communiqué mentioned.
In this connection, any person or organisation, having any information or evidence (including video footage) about the circumstances leading to the fatal incident, has been requested to share the same in person with the designated Inquiry Commissioner or by e-mail at puritragedy.enquiry@odisha.gov.in by July 20 (except holidays).
To understand how exactly the incident occurred and if there was any negligence or lack of proper arrangements, the public is requested to send any relevant information, documents, videos, or photographs related to the incident.
In addition to this, individuals who wish to provide information in person may visit:
• The State Guest House, Bhubaneswar, 3.00 PM onwards on July 9, 2025.
• The Special Circuit House, Puri, 3.00 PM onwards on July 10, 2025.
