Puri Srimandir Management Panel to meet Sept 3, queue darshan facility from Sept 15

Devotees visiting the Jagannath Temple in Puri will soon be able to avail the queue darshan facility from September 15, as preparations for its implementation are already underway. According to sources, the Srimandir Management Committee meeting will be held on September 3 to finalise the modalities of the system.

Devotees visiting the Jagannath Temple in Puri will soon be able to avail the queue darshan facility from September 15, as preparations for its implementation are already underway. According to sources, the Srimandir Management Committee meeting will be held on September 3 to finalise the modalities of the system. 

Sources said the meeting will focus on requirements for the smooth rollout of queue darshan, ensuring orderly entry of devotees into the shrine.

The agenda will also include a discussion on the relocation of the donation box and the proposed inventory and verification of the valuables of Ratna Bhandar, the treasure trove of the shrine.

Speaking to OTV, Odisha Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan said, “The first meeting of the newly formed Managing Committee is scheduled on September 3. All the infrastructural changes for the process have been completed, and the queue darshan system can begin once the donation box is shifted.”

Asked about when the inventory of the valuables of the Ratna Bhandar will begin, the Minister said, “It will begin soon.”
