In a significant development, a two-member team from Balanga Police has travelled to Delhi AIIMS on Sunday to record the statement of the Puri victim who was set on fire by three miscreants.
According to reports, DSP (Headquarters) Kalpana Kanhar and Balanga OIC Chittaranjan Panda is part of the team that has gone to Delhi.
Sources indicate that the police will record statements from the victim’s father and other family members. The team may also collect further information directly from the victim herself.
Reports suggest discrepancies between the statement previously given by the victim at AIIMS Bhubaneswar and at AIIMS Delhi. The investigation team aims to clarify these differences and gather more comprehensive details regarding the case.
