PM Narendra Modi to visit Odisha twice in January 2025

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to visit Odisha twice in the month of January 2025, marking significant engagements both with the global Indian community and regional development aspirations. Odisha’s Chief Minister, Mohan Majhi, confirmed these scheduled visits at an event in Cuttack.

The Prime Minister will first attend the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, a celebratory event for the Indian Diaspora, taking place from 8th to 10th January. This occasion underlines the importance of reconnecting with Indians overseas, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose.

Towards the end of the month, on 28th and 29th January, PM Modi will be visiting the State for the Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 in Cuttack.

On account of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, the Odisha government has constituted 14 sub-committees. These committees will oversee various aspects of preparation for the mega event that will see the participation of overseas Indians, delegates, and senior officials of the Ministry of External Affairs among others.

The Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 is considered a leading forum for investment in East India, designed to spur economic development and elevate Odisha as a formidable destination for global investors. The event gathers pivotal participants, including government representatives, industry leaders, and prospective investors, providing a platform to delve into the region's prospects. This gathering is expected to focus on the development and progress within Odisha, showcasing the state's initiatives and achievements.

Singapore would be the first country partner for Utkarsh Odisha- Make In Odisha Conclave 2025. Moreover, the President of Singapore, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, will visit Odisha during his planned state visit to India in January 2025.
