Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Odisha on June 20 (Friday), 2025, for an official programme at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar. Traffic restrictions were imposed on Thursday by Twin City Commissionerate Police to ensure smooth movement for the public in the State Capital and security of the VVIPs/VIPs as well, during the PM’s visit.

According to official sources, a 'roadshow' has been planned from Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) to Janata Maidan upon arrival of the PM in Bhubaneswar. The PM is to attend a ceremonial event which is being organised tomorrow on the occasion of the current (BJP-led) government’s completion of a year in office.

Route arrangement for the buses coming to the programme:

Buses coming from Cuttack side (on NH-16)-

The vehicles will move from Rasulgarh Railway Overbridge through the service road and will proceed via Vani Vihar Chhak-Acharya Vihar Chhak, then turn right and go through the Apollo Hospital-Sainik School road.

Buses coming from Khordha side (on NH-16)-

After crossing Jayadev Vihar flyover, the vehicles will move through the service road and will proceed via Acharya Vihar Chhak, then turn left and go through the Apollo Hospital-Sainik School road. Thereafter, buses will go via Nalco Chhak-Kalinga Hospital road and park the vehicles on one side of the road starting from Railway Colony Golei Chhak up to Hatiasuni Chhak and Utkal Hospital.

Buses coming from Nandankanan side-

The buses will move via Nalco Chhak-Kalinga Hospital road and park the vehicles on one side of the road starting from Railway Colony Golei Chhak up to Hatiasuni Chhak and Utkal Hospital.

Buses coming from Puri side-

The vehicles will move from Kalpana Chhak and will go via Rajmahal Chhak, then turn left and go through Sishu Bhawan Chhak, again turn to right and park the vehicles on one side of the road starting from Sishu Bhawan Chhak up to Capital Hospital Chhak.

Designated vehicle parking slot for VIPs/Carcade:

1.    JK Paper Lane up to Shyama Dham.

Designated parking slot for media:

2.    NISER Parking Area.

Designated two-wheeler and car parking slots:

3.    On both sides of the road starting from Airport Square up to Water Tank.
4.    Meteorological Ground.
5.    On one side of the road starting from Capital Hospital up to Sishu Bhawan.
6.    On both sides of the road starting from Sashtri Nagar up to Institute of Engineers.
7.    Hind School.
8.    On both sides of the road starting from Behera Sahi up to Nicco Park.
9.    Freedom Fighters’ Ground (Swadhinata Sangrami Padia), Unit-9.

Designated bus and car parking slots:

10.    Kalinga Stadium.
11.    Sainik School Parking Area.

Designated car parking slots:

12.    Salia Sahi Jatra Padia.
13.    Kelu Charan Odissi Research Centre.
14.    XIMB (Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar), Campus-1.

16.    Survey of India up to ‘Y Junction’ Road Parking.

Designated bus parking slot:

17.    On Hatiasuni Chhak-Utkal Hospital road.

Apart from these traffic arrangements, the heavy vehicles (6-wheeler or above, truck, trailer) that come from Khordha side and want to go to Cuttack via Bhubaneswar can proceed from Pitapalli Chhak to Cuttack side through Chandaka Chhak.

Similarly, heavy vehicles (6-wheeler or above, truck, trailer) that come from Cuttack side and want to go to Khordha via Bhubaneswar can proceed from Balikuda Chhak to Khordha side via Pitapalli Chhak through Trisulia Chhak.
