Planetarium projects in every district of Odisha: Minister

Science and Technology Minister Krushna Chandra Patra on Saturday announced that major science-related projects will be implemented across all districts of Odisha.

Minister Patra informed that planetarium projects are currently underway in every district of the state. He further said that the work has already been completed at many places, and inaugurations will be held very soon.

Highlighting efforts to inspire young scientific minds, Patra stated that as many as 30 budding scientists are being sent to ISRO every year. They get the opportunity to visit the Space Centre and gain valuable knowledge.

The Minister further revealed that the renovation of the Bhubaneswar planetarium will begin shortly. He emphasized that the government’s ultimate goal is to create more scientists for the future.

"Odisha will definitely do good work in space science in the coming days. We have started taking many steps in this regard. Planetarium works are going on in many districts. The work has been completed at many places and we are going to inaugurate those soon. The renovation work of Pathani Samanta Planetarium in Bhubaneswar will start soon. The Chief Minister has already allocated funds for it," said Science and Technology Minister Krushna Chandra Patra.
