Palpable tension erupted at Belanta village under Tigiria police limits in Cuttack district after several bombs were hurled following a clash in the region on Monday.

Reportedly, a clash erupted between two groups of the village over past enmity yesterday. Later, late last night, more than 10 bombs were hurled.

Several persons have reportedly sustained injuries in the bombing incident.

Meanwhile, police personnel have been deployed in the village to avoid any untoward incident.

Earlier also, during Holi, the village had witnessed a group clash.
