This prestigious recognition is part of ‘The Inspired Hundred’ list, a compilation by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI). The accolade acknowledges Maiti’s significant contributions to strategic financial leadership within the industry.
Coveted, 'The Inspired 100' list
The announcement was made during the launch of a coffee table book at the 62nd National Conference of ICMAI, which took place in Bhubaneswar. This publication celebrates the achievements and success stories of 100 distinguished CMAs, including Maiti.
“I am pleased to share that I have been recognised as one of the ‘Top 100 CMAs’ in India by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI), for contributions to the profession and strategic financial leadership,” Maiti said.
Worth mentioning, Maiti’s journey into finance began with the desire to make a tangible impact on how businesses grow, transform, and sustain. The CMA course stood out to him not just as an accounting qualification, but as a path to strategy, leadership, and holistic thinking. Over the past three decades, that belief has only deepened.
The CMA has led company turnarounds under IBC, managed M&A deals, greenfield cement projects, IPOs, and digital transitions across manufacturing, NBFCs, and media. At SREI, he spearheaded distressed asset recovery via NCLT. At Adhunik Cement, he helped conceive and execute 1.5 MTPA cement and 30 MW power project from scratch.
