Odisha’s Khirabdhi Patnaik claims second runner-up at Junior Miss India 2025

Khirabdhi Patnaik, a young talent from Puri, Odisha, has made her mark on a national platform by securing the second runner-up position in the Junior Miss India 2025 contest recently held in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

At the tender age of 12, Khirabdhi's journey to the limelight began with an Instagram advertisement she encountered last July. Despite the challenges of competing against 200 aspiring contestants, her talent and determination shone through.

At just 12 years old, her performance captivated judges and audiences alike, pointing to a bright future in modelling. Khirabdhi expressed her desire to continue modelling, driven by a dream to bring her mother's aspirations to fruition.

“I want to keep modelling to fulfill my mother's dreams,” she shared, reflecting her motivation and commitment.

This young model's success is not just an achievement for her and her family but also a proud moment for her hometown, Puri, showcasing the potential of young talent from India on a national stage.

“I’m so grateful and proud that I represented my city Puri and state Odisha in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. I won the first prize for best ramp walk and the second runner-up title. We had to go through two rounds. I’m very grateful. All I want is to complete my studies and then enter the world of modelling,” an elated Khirabdhi stated.

Worth mentioning, an Odisha girl Trishna Ray, won Miss Teen Universe 2024 in South Africa’s Kimberley. Defeating at least 10 finalists from various countries including Peru, South Africa, Brazil, Kenya, Portugal, and the Netherlands, Trishna emerged as the jury’s favourite to claim the title of the Miss Teen Universe 2024.
