Odisha Govt announces Rs 10 crore for Akhandalamani Temple in Bhadrak

In a piece of good news for the devotees of Lord Shiva in Bhadrak district, the Odisha government has allocated Rs 10 crore for the development of the Baba Akhandalamani Temple at Aradi.

The announcement was made by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri on Wednesday.

Deputy CM Parida made the announcement for the development of the shrine after having a darshan of Baba Akhandalamani and offering prayers at the temple along with Higher Education and Culture Minister Suryabanshi Suraj.

The Deputy CM further informed that the funds will be spent for the completion of the parikrama project in the shrine.

The move is expected to bolster the attraction of the Baba Akhandalamani shrine as a centre of spiritual reverence within the region.

“An allocation of Rs 10 crore has been made for the development of the Baba Akhandalamani Temple at Aradi. The project will start with Rs 10 crore and the government will provide all the required funds,” said Deputy CM Parida.

In Aradi Dham, a distinctive two-day festival is underway at the shrine of Baba Akhandalamani. Devotees have been thronging the shrine in large numbers to have the darshan of Baba Akhandalamani and offer their prayers. 

Large number of devotees are expected to gather around the temple to illuminate lamps, pray for the welfare of their families and loved ones, and seek the divine blessings of Lord Mahadev on the occasion of Mahashivratri celebration this evening.
