A Class 3 student at Jarda High School, Sundargarh, was rescued after hiding in a box for four hours out of fear of being beaten. The headmaster clarified the box was not locked.

A class three student was rescued from a locked box after being trapped for 4 hours. The incident occurred at Jarda High School in the Sundargarh district. The student was reportedly found in critical condition.

According to reports, another student locked him in the box. Teachers noticed the student was missing from class and began searching for him. After a long search, he was found and rescued from the box. The headmaster stated that the student hid in the box out of fear after being beaten by some other students.

“There was some altercation between the students. So one of them hid inside the box. It was not locked, in fact the said box does not even has a lock. The said student was reportedly beaten by the leader of the hostel. So the student was hiding out of fear. The student’s condition was good and not critical,” said the headmaster of the school, Gangadhar Seth.

Similar Heart-Wrenching Incident

Lastmonth, in a heart-wrenching incident, a Class 2 girl was trapped inside a locked classroom and spent the entire night stuck in the iron window grill while trying to escape at Anjar Government Upper Primary School in Keonjhar.

In a desperate bid to get out, the girl used all her strength to bend the iron bars of the classroom window slightly and managed to push her body through. However, her head got stuck in the railing, leaving her trapped in that position throughout the night.

When her family searched for her, they could not find her anywhere. When the school gates were opened, the shocking sight was discovered. Villagers and family members joined hands to rescue her and rushed her to the district headquarters hospital for treatment. After receiving primary medical care, she was discharged.
