Odia music director Abhijit Majumdar off ventilator, still in coma

Renowned singer and music director of Odisha- Abhijit Majumdar’s health condition has shown slight improvement on Sunday. 

As per reports, Majumdar has been taken off the ventilator and is currently under treatment in the ICU. His vital organs are now functioning properly, though his central nervous system remains in a critical condition. 

Majumdar is still in a coma, and doctors have said it will take more time before further progress can be assessed. All necessary medical support is being provided, and if required, he may be shifted to Delhi for advanced treatment. At present, adequate facilities are available for his care.

Majumdar had been suffering from multiple health issues, including hypertension, hypothyroidism, and chronic liver disease, before slipping into a coma.

Earlier, Odisha Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling had visited AIIMS Bhubaneswar and reviewed Majumdar’s health condition with doctors and family members. He had assured that the Odisha government will bear all medical expenses and directed that a special medical team be engaged in his treatment.
