Eligible women who were left out of the Subhadra Yojana will now receive the funds. Not a single eligible woman will be deprived of the Subhadra Yojana benefits, Deputy CM Pravati Parida asserted after a key review meeting held on Wednesday.

Many eligible beneficiaries were previously excluded from receiving the benefits. A review was conducted to understand why they were left out — whether they lacked ration cards, had not updated their KYC, or were due to any other requisite documentation issues.
Following complaints received by the State government in recent days, the Women and Child Development Department has taken this decision. There is no need for concern. Those who are eligible but left out will definitely receive the assistance, said the Deputy CM.
After the ‘Subhadra’ review, Deputy CM Parida made some important announcements:
“We will obtain data on the deceased and living beneficiaries from the Health Department. We will not rely on the data provided by the Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department. Besides, field verification will be conducted for around 2.85 lakh women who have not yet received the three instalments of Subhadra Yojana,” the Deputy CM stated.
Today, a high-level review meeting was held, chaired by Deputy CM Parida, to identify the reasons behind the alleged exclusion of several women. Senior officials from three departments were asked for a comprehensive review of the ambitious scheme’s implementation.
“Death of any Subhadra Yojana beneficiary will be treated by us based on the verified data provided by the Health Department. Earlier data provided to us through ration card updates will not be considered henceforth,” Deputy CM Parida expressed to mediapersons.
