The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) in Puri has received the ground penetrating radar (GPR)-GPS survey report of Srimandir Ratna Bhandar. This information was shared by the Chief Administrator of SJTA, Arabinda Padhee on Saturday.
According to the chief administrator, the survey report indicates that there are no additional chambers or tunnels within the Lord’s treasure trove. The task was carried out with assistance from the CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) in Hyderabad, on behalf of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).

The temple administration remains vigilant regarding the stability and security of Srimandir. As the comprehensive expert report is now in hand, an urgent request has been made to the ASI authorities to initiate the repair and conservation work of the entire Ratna Bhandar.
Chief Administrator Padhee also mentioned that the temple administration will extend all necessary cooperation in this important endeavour.

In a press meeting held in the evening, the Chief Administrator said, “After obtaining the technical report we have written to the ASI and asked them to let us know their agenda of work. We will review the report and have requested them to have a fresh round of discussion with us in the future. Accordingly, we will inform the same to Chhatisa Nijog.”
“Based on subsequent advice of the Nijog suggesting the smooth performance of daily rituals, we will chalk out the details of repair and conservation work. We will also ensure that it does not affect the Darshan of the deities by devotees coming to the shrine,” the Chief Administrator expressed.
