Some of Patra's personal belongings, including his voter ID card, were recovered from the Lanjipalli area of Berhampur while his laptop was found at his residence. The police are exploring various angles, including the possibility that Patra may have returned to Berhampur and potentially proceeded to Bhubaneswar by bus.
