‘Mo Bus’ en-route Cuttack from Puri catches fire

A major fire mishap was averted after a ‘Mo Bus’ en route to Cuttack from Puri caught fire near CDA Sector-9. All the passengers were rescued safely with no casualty or injuries being reported. 

For reasons yet to be known, the bus caught fire in the middle of the road.

According to sources, the vehicle had been to Puri and was on its way back to Cuttack. Mid-way, the driver spotted smoke emanating from the bus near Cuttack CDA Sector-9 and stopped the vehicle. He then immediately alerted the conductor and the passengers who were then loaded off the bus.

On being informed, a fire tender team rushed to the spot and brought the flames under control. The exact reason for the fire is yet to be ascertained.
