Mo Bus catches fire in Cuttack; passengers evacuated
A Mo Bus caught fire near Madhupatna Square on Saturday, while returning to Cuttack from Bhubaneswar.
Fortunately, no passengers were aboard at the time of the incident, according to eyewitnesses.

As per reports, the firefighters arrived promptly at the scene and extinguished the fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, with preliminary indications suggesting a possible electrical fault.
The incident has left hundreds of vehicles stuck on both sides of the road.
“The incident happened two hours ago when the engine started emitting smoke. The driver quickly tried to extinguish the fire, but all efforts were in vain as it slowly engulfed the bus,” said a shopkeeper adding the heat was so intense that we were unable to stand close to it.
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safety measures in public transportation, underscoring the need for regular vehicle maintenance to protect the well-being of passengers.
