Man hacked to death by miscreants with swords in Berhampur

Miscreants allegedly hacked a person to death in Berhampur on Friday. The mother and younger brother of the deceased also suffered grievous injuries in the attack. Past enmity is said to be the reason behind the attack. 

While the deceased has been identified as Dunia Sahu, a resident of Narayanpur village under Sadar police limits in Berhampur, the injured are Kuni Sahu (mother) and Alok Sahu. 

According to sources, three to four unidentified miscreants forced their entry into Dunia’s house and started attacking Dunia, his mother, and his younger brother with swords and fled from the spot. 

When the neighbours came to their rescue, they found the trio in a pool of blood. They immediately rushed them to MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur. 

However, while undergoing treatment, Dunia Sahu succumbed to his injuries. His mother and younger brother are undergoing treatment. 
On being informed, a team from Sadar Police Station reached the crime spot and launched a probe and a manhunt.
