In a fresh development in the lady journalist Madhumita Parida's death case in Bhubaneswar, her accused husband was taken on remand by the police as part of the investigation.
As per reports, Dhauli Police questioned accused Sridhar Jena regarding the incident after taking him into remand for one day. Police also took Jena to his rented house at Indira Colony in the Capital City for further probe into the death case.
Apart from interrogating Jena in connection with the incident, police reportedly seized a diary and a ‘suicide’ note written by Madhumita.
Madhumita’s body was found on railway tracks near Bapuji Nagar in Bhubaneswar on July 24.
Madhumita’s family members alleged that she committed suicide as Jena had illicit relationships with other girls. Based on the allegation of the family members, Jena was arrested.

Police have sent Jena’s mobile phone to the Forensic Department to trace its call and chat history which would help in further investigation of the case.
