Amidst the growing demand for a vigilance probe into the alleged land grab by Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), owned by former BJD MP Achyuta Samanta, Odisha Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain on Friday said that everything will be clear after a probe.
RTI activists have been demanding a thorough probe into the matter by vigilance. Three RTI activists have written to the State Revenue Minister, and also the Forest Minister demanding a vigilance probe into the matter.
Minister Swain asserted that there should be an investigation to find out the truth behind the alleged land grab by Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) - an institution owned by former BJD MP Achyuta Samanta.
“There should be an investigation. Everything will be clear after the probe is done,” Swain stated.
The KISS land-grab row is getting murkier by the day. A patch of land measuring 10 acres worth Rs 33 crore in Pathargadia Mouza in Bhubaneswar being given away at a throwaway price of Rs 25 lakh has raised eyebrows.

The alleged land scam has raised serious speculations related to the involvement of the previous BJD government in giving away the patch of land at a throwaway price. Questions have been raised as to why the previous government and officials showed such 'undue favours' to KISS.
