Four arrested in Khordha jewellery heist
Police have cracked the jewellery shop robbery that took place at Chhanagiri area under Jankia block in Khordha district on Tuesday.
As per reports, as many as four accused have been arrested in connection with the case. Nearly one kilogram of stolen gold ornaments, along with 2.5 kilograms of silver, has been recovered. In addition, Rs 9.45 lakh in cash was also seized.
The incident reportedly occurred on August 24, when around 10 miscreants looted a jewellery shop at Chhanagiri. During the investigation, police arrested four suspects and seized a country-made pistol, live ammunition, and sharp weapons from their possession.

The Central Range DIG informed that the remaining accused involved in the case will be nabbed soon.
"After conducting raids in Puri, Ganjam, Berhampur, Nayagarh, Cuttack, and Khordha, as many as four persons were arrested in connection with the case. A huge amount of recovery in terms of gold and silver was made from them. One kg of gold, 2.5 kg of silver, and Rs 9.45 lakh in cash were recovered. A country-made gun, live ammunition, and sharp weapons were also seized from their possession," said Central Range DIG Satyajit Naik.
