Navy Day Celebrations In Puri
As expected, jet fighters and aircraft displayed their superb flying and manoeuvres along with magnificent formations during the Navy Day celebrations held at Odisha’s Puri. Navy Day is an important day as it honours the bravery, dedication, and achievements of the Indian Naval forces. The day commemorates the strategic and victorious operations during the India-Pakistan War in 1971.
A guard of honour was given to President Droupadi Murmu prior to the start of the Operational Demonstration by the Indian Navy as part of the Navy Day celebrations at the Blue Flag beach in Odisha’s Puri on Wednesday. It was for the first time that the Navy Day celebrations were held in Odisha.

The grand celebrations began with Hawk AJT which is also called the 'Phantoms'. These are multi-purpose trainer aircraft of the Indian Navy. Hawk aircraft in an arrowhead formation demonstrated their ground attack capability through a 'Bomb Burst' manoeuvre.

Marine Commandos or MARCOS, who are highly trained warriors, also displayed their strength, combat skills and assault by firing and throwing flares. The commandos also displayed a real-life hostage rescue operation.
It was one of its one-of-a-kind experience for the visitors who were present in large numbers to witness the demonstrations on the occasion of Navy Day celebrations in Puri.
