Ahead of their February 9 match at the Barabti Stadium in Cuttack, India and England teams will reach Bhubaneswar on Friday (February 7). Extensive preparations for their welcome, stay, and transit between the twin cities are currently underway.
Reports mentioned that Team India and England will stay at the Mayfair Lagoon in Bhubaneswar following their arrival. For practice sessions and the match, they will shuttle to and fro from the hotel to the Barabati Stadium in their respective team buses.
As of Thursday morning, The Mayfair Hotel has begun lavish natural decorations on its premises, with the landscaping of lush greenery, flowers, and pools ongoing. Further, along with exclusive suites, a special menu has also been curated by keeping in mind the players’ lifestyle and diet preferences.

Dieticians from both teams have already conveyed their desired meal requirements to align with the health needs of their players. However, as part of Odia hospitality, Mayfair is also said to be curating a special menu for millet-prepared food.
Meanwhile, strict security measures have been implemented from the hotel to the Barabati Stadium to ensure their safety. A heavy blanket of security will adorn the twin cities and their key intersections on all days leading to the match while the Commissionerate Police will carry out mock motorcade and safety drills.
Along the same line, cricket fever has gripped Odisha, with thousands turning up to the Barabati Stadium on Wednesday to secure an offline ticket. As per reports, all the tickets meant for counter sale were sold out on the first day itself.
