The Governor of Odisha has appointed Manoj Kumar Mohanty, IAS (Retd.), former Additional Secretary to the Government in the General Administration & Public Grievance Department, as a Member of the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC).
The appointment has been made under clause (1) of Article 316 of the Constitution of India, read with Regulation 5 of the Odisha Public Service Commission (Conditions of Service) Regulations, 1952.
Mohanty will serve as a Member of the OPSC for a term of six years from the date he assumes office or until he attains the age of 62 years, whichever is earlier.
His conditions of service will be governed by the Odisha Public Service Commission (Conditions of Service) Regulations, 1952, as amended from time to time.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of the Article 316 of Constitution of India, read with Regulation 5 of the Odisha Public Service Commission (Conditions of Service) Regulations, 1952, the Governor of Odisha has been pleased to appoint Shri Manoj Kumar Mohanty, IAS(Retd.), Ex-Additional Secretary to Government, GA & PG Department as Member, Odisha Public Service Commission for a term of six years from the date he enters upon his office or until he attains the age of sixty-two years whichever is earlier,” the notification from the General Administration & Public Grievance Department read.
Earlier in May this year, Professor Mihir Prasad Mishra of Puri SCS College and a renowned academician, was appointed as a member of the OPSC. Alongside him, IAS Uday Narayan Das, known for his role as the Census Director, has also been appointed to the OPSC team.
